INSIDE THE PHOTOGRAPHED ARTIST’S WORKSHOP, FROM INGRES TO JEFF KOONS
Présentation
Whether
documenting
interiors and take portraits of fashionable artists, or focusing on the
creative movement, or seeing the studio as a metaphor for the birth of new
images, since the 19th century photographers have been continually
entering and exploring these spaces where works of art are created. Never
before has an exhibition focused on this photographic view of the studio on
such a large scale and in such a spectacular manner. Far from being an
exhaustive presentation of studio photographs from the beginning of the
practice, this exhibition will examine the persistence of such a fascination. Nearly
300 photographs will allow the public to come closer to the creative process of
the artist from Ingres, Picasso, Matisse, Bourdelle, Zadkine and Brancusi, to
Joan Mitchell, Miquel Barcelo and Jeff Koons.
