1. Terms and CONDITIONS OF USE FOR the WEBsite of the COLLECTIONS of city of paris museums
The Website parismuseescollections.paris.fr allows Users to consult the works from the collections of the museums of the City of Paris. All materials published on the Website parismuseescollections.paris.fr, including texts, photographs, graphics, and icons are the exclusive property of Établissement public Paris Musées, the City of Paris or of parties from whom right of use has been obtained.
Consequently, any representation or reproduction for other than personal use that may be made of them without the consent of the authors or their assignees is unlawful.
1.2. Acceptance of terms
Access to the Website is free to any internet user. Any connection to the Website is subject to compliance with these Terms.
The User declares that he is an individual aged over 18 years and has the legal capacity to accept these Terms. Use of the Website and its features by minors under 18 years is under the responsibility and supervision of their parents and guardians.
These Terms apply to any variation or extension of the Website on social networks and / or existing or future community.

1.4 DESCRIPTION OF FEATURES
The website allows the user free viewing of the Contents of Paris Musées accessible at the time of connection.
Features are available to the User on the Website, as follows:
- Conduct a research among the online collections of the Musées de la Ville de Paris
- Refine your search using filters (including author / artist / producer, museum, name (s), date)

- Access the "Dashboard". The "Dashboard" enables you to check your lists, annotations and saved searches. To use this feature, you need to have a user account.
- Share images or media on your social networks: Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr via the "Share this content" feature.
- Share images or media by email via the “Share this content” feature.
- Consult the themed tours on the Website.
- Look up current or future exhibitions at City of Paris museums.
- Access Paris Musées Juniors by clicking on “Paris Musées Juniors”.
The User is prohibited from using any features and / or Images or Media other than those expressly provided for in this Article (1.4.).
The User is reminded that any commercial use of Images or Media made available to it on the Website is strictly prohibited.
Any use of Images or Media in high definition and / or for commercial purposes involves payment and is subject to the conclusion of a specific contract with l’agence Roger Viollet.
Acceptance of these Terms does not grant the user any authorization concerning intellectual property rights to the works shown in the Images or Media or concerning rights to any images of people shown in the Images or Media or concerning the potential rights of the owners of any goods represented in the Images or Media.
1.5 CREATING A USER ACCOUNT
As specified in Article 2.4, to benefit from certain features of the Site, the User must create a personal account ("User Account") by filling out the form at "Register here".
When creating an account, the User agrees to provide accurate, current and complete information.
To create an account, the user must choose to use either a Facebook account, a Twitter account or an email account. In all three cases, they should indicate their name (or pseudonym) and choose a password and a valid personal email address.
According to Article 32 of the Law of 6 January 1978 relating to data storage, files and freedoms, it is specified whether the data that the user is asked to submit is required or optional.
Activation of the User Account will be effected by clicking on an embedded activation link in a confirmation email sent by Paris Musées.
Once your User Account has been activated, you may access the parameters of your account at any time and update them.
Any submission of information which is false, inaccurate, incomplete, or not current, or of a user name and a profile image containing abusive, defamatory, obscene or generally inappropriate words or representations, may lead to the suspension or closure of the user account.
More generally, Paris Museums reserves the right to suspend or delete the account of a malicious user, or for violation of these Terms or violation of laws or regulations .
User Accounts impersonating a third party will also be removed. It is recalled that online impersonation of a third party by means of any data enabling the identification of that party (name, email address, photograph, etc.) is an offence punishable by law (Article 226- 4-1 of the criminal code).
The User has sole responsibility for the use of their account. They will ensure the confidentiality of their login credentials and take all necessary measures to preserve their confidentiality.
1.6 intellectual property
The contents that Paris Musées make available to the User on the Website in accordance with these Terms remain the property of Paris Musées.
The Website Parismuseescollections.paris.fr constitutes a work whose intellectual property is protected. Apart from use in accordance with these Terms, any reproduction, representation, exploitation, use, transmission, diffusion, adaptation or modification by any means whatsoever, of all or part of the content on the Website, without the prior written permission of Paris Musées and the authors or assignees concerned, is strictly prohibited.
The reproduction, redistribution, exploration or automatic extraction by any means of content or data on the Website is prohibited. Therefore, the use of robots or programs for the direct extraction of data or content is strictly prohibited.
All distinctive signs on the Site are the intellectual property of Paris Musées. Any use of these distinctive signs by the User in whole or part, in any capacity and in any form whatsoever shall be limited to what is strictly necessary and permitted under these Terms. Any other use requires the prior written consent of Paris museums .
Violation of these provisions exposes the offender and any person responsible to legal action for infringement and to civil and criminal sanctions. Paris Musées reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings against any person who shall have violated the above prohibitions.
1.7 LIABILITY AND GUARANTEES OF THE USER
The User’s use of Images or Media shall not be contrary to the laws and / or regulations in force or to the provisions of these Terms.
The User therefore agrees not to perform any act which is prohibited, illegal, contrary to morality and public order and / or infringes third party rights including intellectual property rights.
The User guarantees Paris Musées against any action, claims or claims by third parties resulting from the use of the Site and / or features and / or Images or Media by the User in a manner inconsistent with any or part of these Terms and / or laws and / or regulations in force.
1.8 RESPONSiBILITies of PARIS MUSÉES
Paris Musées undertakes to make the site and its features available in a proper manner and in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force.

The User agrees that Paris Musées may at any time suspend access to the Site and / or any or all features for non-predefined periods or cancel any or all of the features at any time for technical, legal or operational reasons.
Similarly, and for any reason whatsoever, Paris Musées reserves the right to withdraw one or more Images or Media from the Website at any time.
